How to register a trademark in Poland?
To obtain trademark registration, it is necessary to make appropriate application.
Obtaining trademark protection on Polish territory is possible in national, Community or international procedure.
On the national level trademark protection is granted by the Polish Patent Office.
Since Polish accession to the EU, Community trademarks registered with the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) in Alicante are valid in Poland. Such trademarks are protected throughout the European Union on the basis of one exclusive right granted by OHIM.
Effective protection in Poland can also be obtained under the international registration made with the International Bureau of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva. The application to WIPO can be submitted via relevant national patent authority.
